Holidays In Yellowstone

Celebrate the Holidays in Yellowstone

Yellowstone during the holidays will surely bring a smile to adults and kids alike. There is dashing through the snow, magical appearances by hoofed animals, and hot beverages of cheer to go around. Outside, the landscape turns into a winter wonderland, while inside, the elves adorn both winter lodges with festive decorations.

During the winter, two lodges are open, Mammoth Hot Spring Hotel and Old Faithful Snow Lodge. Guests can drive to Mammoth Hotel via the north entrance, but traveling to Snow Lodge requires a Snowcoach, a fun adventure all unto itself.

Santa Reading to children

Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting

This year, Santa will make his grand entrance on December 15th during our holiday celebration at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. The evening begins at 5:00 pm with welcome remarks and the lighting of the tree. At 5:45 pm, Santa will arrive in style aboard a vintage yellow bus, escorted by the Gateway Hose Company Fire & EMS trucks.  The festivities will continue with storytelling by Santa, free books for the kids (while supplies last), and musical performances by the Gardiner School Music Program, Gardiner Community Orchestra, and the Little People’s Choir.

Enjoy coffee, cookies, treats, and surprises all evening. Capture a photo with the vintage Bombardier in front of the hotel, sign the giant Christmas card, and send a vintage postcard to the North Pole. Plus, more fun activities until 8:00 pm.

Rooms are still available at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel if you want to join us for the most magical time of the year.
