The newest and most unique way to visit the world’s first national park, our Yellowstone Signature Experience offers a comprehensive yet leisurely week-long experience of all the best that Yellowstone has to offer. Each day will combine viewing of iconic vistas and/or spectacular wildlife with meals tailored to each participant’s palate, culturally significant events, and leisure and cocktail times for relaxation. Spotting critters in Lamar and Hayden Valleys, crossing Yellowstone Lake by boat, allowing the Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River speak to you, appreciating the “first Americans” who experienced this wonderland, geysers, hot springs, food, drink, and historic hotels – we’re happy to put our signature on this experience!
Seven amazing days exploring the intimate areas of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem on historic buses, horseback, and a modern minibus, your days will end early enough for time to enjoy historic and famous hotels, eat from a menu specialized for this adventure, shop, and enjoy a cocktail and a comfortable chair.
Activity Level – Hikes up to a mile or two on one of the days, but mostly just sit back and enjoy the ride. Some off-trail hiking is possible, and all walks are optional in any case!
Your shuttle will meet you at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport or your hotel in Bozeman. Our destination for today is the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, where we hope to arrive by 3:00 p.m. and where we’ll spend our first two nights.
Depending on our departure time, we may eat lunch en route and enjoy beautiful Paradise Valley as we travel south to Gardiner, Montana, at Yellowstone’s North Entrance, where we’ll stop at the historic Roosevelt Arch on our way to Mammoth Hot Springs.
A reception in the hotel’s Map Room follows, and leisure time before a 6:00 p.m. dinner with special menu enhancements in the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel Dining Room.
This morning, you will meet your guides in front of the hotel for a 6:30 a.m. departure to the famous Lamar Valley in one of the Park’s Historic Yellow Buses, which first toured the Park in the late 1930s. Wildlife watching is our goal for the morning, and many of the Park’s species of spectacular megafauna are crepuscular (that is, most active at dawn and dusk), so we’ll take an early day to go and try our luck.
We’ll enjoy breakfast and lunch “field meals” today, and after watching the wild things for the morning, we’ll plan on arriving at Roosevelt Corral at 1:30 p.m. for a fitting for a complimentary Stetson cowboy hat followed by a horseback or stagecoach ride.
We’ll then enjoy the serenity of the porch at Roosevelt Lodge until dinner. After dinner, we’ll return to Mammoth Hot Springs for evening cocktails.
We’ll start today with a 7:00 a.m. breakfast at the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel Dining Room followed by checking out of our rooms and hopefully taking an 8:00 a.m. departure.
We’ll travel towards Roosevelt once again to be able to take in the impressive scenery up on Dunraven Pass. We’ll visit the iconic waterfalls at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, then stop at Canyon Village for a catered lunch in Canyon Lodge’s M66 Dining Room, after which we’ll make our way for the afternoon through Hayden Valley and on to the Lake Yellowstone Hotel. At Lake a personal shopper will assist all with the artistic and other offerings of the hotel’s Gift Shop.
One of Yellowstone’s signature artists will join the group for dinner in the hotel’s Dining Room at 6:30 p.m., followed by cocktails in the Sun Room at the gloaming.
Black pool at West Thumb Geyser Basin
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel before heading to Bridge Bay Marina for an 8 a.m. departure. Embark on a scenic boating and fishing adventure across the pristine waters of Yellowstone Lake, including its stunning West Thumb. Enjoy a catered lakeside lunch at the Lake House upon arrival at Grant Marina.
After lunch, relax and enjoy the open air aboard a classic Yellowstone Historic Yellow Bus as you return to Lake Hotel. Later, join Scott Frazier, acclaimed Indigenous educator and enrolled Crow Tribal Member, for an immersive nature walk around the lake. Learn to connect deeply with Yellowstone’s serene environment and discover its quieter, hidden wonders.
Wrap up your day with a lake-inspired dinner at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel Dining Room and unwind with cocktails in the Sun Room as you take in the tranquil surroundings.
We’ll start today with a 7:00 a.m. breakfast at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel Dining Room followed by checking out of our rooms and hopefully taking an 8:00 a.m. departure. This morning we’ll retrace our steps along the shore of Yellowstone Lake, but from West Thumb we’ll turn up and over the Continental Divide (called the Great Divide by the mountain men of old) to the Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful. We’ll enjoy an eruption of Old Faithful Geyser either before or after a private lunch in the Old Faithful Snow Lodge Dining Room.
Possibilities exist for exploring the geyser basin or for leisure time in the Old Faithful Inn lobby, but in mid-afternoon we’ll check in to the Inn for the evening and take a trip up to the roof where we’ll enjoy this view of the geyser basin and receive a Wyoming State Flag with the documentation that it has flown over the Inn.
A 6:30 p.m. dinner at the Inn this evening will be followed by cocktails in the Bear Pit Lounge, and leisure and gift shop time will be available as well.
We’ll start our final full day in the Park with a 7:00 a.m. breakfast at Old Faithful Inn Dining Room followed by checking out of our rooms and hopefully taking an 8:00 a.m. departure. This morning we’ll take walking tours of the Midway and Lower Geyser Basins as we make our way north.
We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the field and hope for views of waterfalls, thermal features, and wildlife as possible, touring the Mammoth Hot Springs and arriving at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel around 3:30 p.m.
After check-in and some leisure time we’ll meet in one of the upstairs conference rooms for a cocktail experience hosted by Bozeman Spirits, and by a catered dinner. We’ll bid farewell to our guides, and have the evening at leisure.
Enjoy breakfast at the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel before departing for the return trip to Bozeman and/or the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
