The Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins, named after the huge terraced springs located nearby, offers a warm welcome to winter guests. The hotel was completely renovated in 2019, still embracing its early 20th century roots in décor and ambience, but with modern-day touches. All rooms are accessible by elevator. The hotel’s signature Map Room is perfect for an evenings of conversation and board games with family and friends, often with the accompaniment of live piano music. It’s hard to beat Mammoth as a convenient location for accessing the wildlife-rich Northern Range and Lamar Valley. In winter, daily guided tours depart from Mammoth Hotel to popular in-park hot spots like, Lamar Valley, Yellowstone’s Grand Canyon, Old Faithful and more depart from Mammoth Hotel. The Bear Den ski shop, located in the gift shop, offers equipment, lessons, tips, and tours for cross-country skiers and snowshoe enthusiasts. If that’s not enough, an outdoor skating rink with free skate rentals is just behind the hotel in the cabin area.
