This program is ideal for those who want to experience all that Yellowstone is known for within a guided small-group itinerary. Based at the central location Canyon Lodge & Cabins, the four days will offer opportunities for exploration of the Old Faithful area and other geothermal hot spots, a Scenicruise on Yellowstone Lake, and some unparalleled wildlife watching.

Participants are welcome to check into the Canyon Lodge beginning at 4:00 p.m. This evening you will dine at the Canyon Eatery at your leisure. You will be given a time to meet your Adventure Guide and fellow participants for a package orientation and Q&A session in the Lodge.

Today you will visit the famed Lamar Valley and participate in the Roosevelt Cookout for dinner. You will enjoy both your breakfast and lunch in the field in order to maximize your time seeking out wildlife encounters and scenic splendors. This will be a long but rewarding day as a trip to Lamar Valley, and the Old West Cookout are two of the top things to do when visiting Yellowstone.

This morning, you can choose to sleep in before having breakfast in the Canyon Eatery, or you can dine early and explore Canyon Village prior to meeting your guide for today’s journey. A late morning departure allows the opportunity to travel through Yellowstone’s Hayden Valley, before heading out toward the park’s East Entrance. Keep a sharp eye out as you never know which species of Yellowstone’s megafauna you might see around the next bend. Your guide will serve a field lunch along the route before you participate in a Scenicruise tour on fabulous Yellowstone Lake. You will have dinner at Wylie’s Canteen in Lake Lodge before your return to Canyon Village.

Today’s journey will include traveling Yellowstone’s Lower Loop to the Old Faithful area, but not before eating breakfast at the Canyon Eatery. On the way, you will walk around some of Yellowstone’s more famous geyser basins and observe all four types of the park’s thermal features. Lunch will be taken at the Old Faithful Inn before further exploring the Old Faithful geyser basin on foot. Did we mention you will have the opportunity to witness an eruption of the world’s most famous geyser? OLD FAITHFUL!! After lunch you will travel Yellowstone Lake’s west shoreline by touring vehicle during the return trip to Canyon. You will have dinner at the Canyon Eatery at your leisure this evening.

You’ll have breakfast on your final morning in the Canyon Eatery before meeting your guide for the last adventure. We’ll make one final trip into Hayden Valley for last chance wildlife sightings before visiting the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and its breathtaking waterfalls. We anticipate returning to Canyon Village at approximately 11:00 am, where you will bid fond farewells to your Adventure Guide and the new friends you made during your Yellowstone Adventure.

Rates include taxes, fees and gratuity. (Exception: The NPS Entrance fee is not included.) Rates, taxes and fees subject to change and based on approved local, state, and NPS fees at the time of the session date. Availability at the time of booking may vary from what is shown above. Each session is limited to a maximum of 13 participants. A minimum of 4 participants is required for session to operate. Participants will be advised no later than 30 days prior to package start date if package minimum is not met. Minimum age to participate is 12 years old.
